2015 Star Award Recipient

 The TMF (Texas Medical Foundation) Health Quality Institute, partnered with the Texas Medical Association and the Texas Osteopathic Medical Association, recently bestowed its Texas Physician Practice Quality Improvement Awards for 2012-13 and 2014-15 to medical practices across the state. Gulf Coast Gastroenterology was the only medical practice in Brazoria County to receive this prestigious award! Dr. Sweatt adds that Gulf Coast Gastroenterology has been recognized by Medicare / Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for exemplary use of electronic medical records, e-prescribing, and physician quality reporting systems (PQRS). The practice under the leadership of Dr. Sweatt has also helped Brazosport Regional Medical Center receive the Gastrointestinal Care Excellence Award (from Healthgrades: Specialty Excellence Awards, Healthgrades.com), which recognizes hospitals for superior outcomes in the care and treatment of digestive diseases.
